King Pin style pedestals and bases have been found in fishing boats over the last 25 years. The King Pin threaded base accepts the King Pin pedestal that has the threaded base end. The threads help to ensure that the pedestal stays in the pedestal when the boat is in motion. King Pin pedestals are rated Class B by ABYC which means that they are designed for occupancy only at boat speeds not exceeding 5mph. Use this base with threaded posts.
